Statement of FAITH
1. We believe that "all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God," of both Old and New Testaments, written by holy men of God who "were moved by the Holy Spirit" to write the very words of God, and that the Scriptures are our absolute and final authority for faith and life.
(Acts 1:16; 1 Cor. 2:12-13; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)
2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons:
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
(Matt. 28:18-19; Mark 12:29; John 1:14-16; Acts 5:3-4; Rev. 1:4-6)
3. We believe in the virgin birth of Christ, and that He is fully God and fully man.
(Matt. 1:18; John 1:1-3; John 3:16; Gal. 4:5; Phil. 2:5-8; Heb. 4:15)
4. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, and that with His shed blood He obtained for us an eternal redemption.
(John 1:29; Rom. 3:25-26; 2 Cor. 5:14; Gal. 4:4-7; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 3:18)
5. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there
as our High Priest and Advocate.
(John 20; Acts 1:6-9; Heb. 1:3; 4:14-16; 7:25; 1 John 2:1)
6. We believe in the Son of God's Second Coming, which will be the personal, imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(John 14:1-3; 1 Cor. 15:50-53; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Titus 2:11-14; Rev. 19:11-21)
7. We believe in the total depravity of all humans,
and in the absolute necessity of regeneration.
(Jer. 17:9; John 5:40; Rom. 3:10-23; Eph. 2:1-3; 1 John 3:8)
8. We believe that salvation is the gift of God, entirely apart from works,
and is possessed by all who have sincerely received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, for salvation is in Christ alone,
by grace alone, through faith alone.
(John 3:7-18; 3:36; Rom. 1:16-17; 3:21-22; Eph. 1:3-8; Eph. 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-23)
9. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, that He indwells all believers, and if we walk by Him, we will not carry out the desires of the flesh, but instead we may through cooperative effort
allow Him to produce His fruit within us.
(Matt. 28:19; John 16:7-11; Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 6:19-20; 12:13; Gal. 5:16-25)
10. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
(Luke 16:19-26; John 3:36; 2 Thess. 1:5-10; Jude 6-7; Rev. 20:11-15).
(Acts 1:16; 1 Cor. 2:12-13; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)
